Guardian of Person:
- determine ward's needs

Guardian of Estate:
- apply for and maintain benefits available to ward (rental assistance, energy asssitance, Medicare Part D HMO, Homestead credit and many more)
- receive ward's income to pay for current and foreseeable needs
- funds not needed to meet the ward's current needs are saved
- records are kept of all payments received and how they are spent or saved
- provide information to client's social services agencies or medical facilities providers
- notifiy SSA of changes when required
- complete written reports accounting for the use of funds
